As part of its numerous projects now underway in the 700-acre RiverPark mixed-use development in Oxnard, California, Keller CMS is managing the development and construction of two elementary schools and one intermediate school on behalf of the Rio School District.


The KCMS team has been involved with these projects from their earliest beginnings through State entitlement and funding allocation process with the California Department of Education through construction. 


Rio Del Mar Elementary School
consists of 42,013 square feet in four, single-story classroom pods and administrative building and serves 538 students.  The 10.3-acre campus includes an administration and library facility, a multi-purpose building, kindergarten classrooms, elementary level classrooms, and a service yard.  The project was completed in January 2006.


Rio Vista Middle School
encompasses 74,000 square feet and serves 600 students grades 6 through 8.
The 20-acre campus includes a sports center with 4 baseball/softball fields, 10 basketball courts, a 17,000 square feet gymnasium with seating for 500 and surface parking for 270 cars.A total of 33,000 square feet comprises general/specialty classrooms including 15 general and 8 specialty classrooms (31 students per classroom), a 14,500 square feet Multi-Purpose Building complete with kitchen for hot food service and seating for 500 indoors and 380 outdoors under a 3,000 square foot lunch shelter, and a 9,500 square foot Administration/Library Building.

Construction began in March 2006 and was completed for the Fall opening of the 2007 academic year.
